Devin Desktop is a coding app that lets you manage local and cloud A.I. agents from one place. The pages say it is the new name for Windsurf, and that it builds on Windsurf's IDE (the editor where you write code). The pages tie it to Cognition.
You decide what to build, and the agents write the code and test it. You can read, trace and debug what they ship, because the app includes a full IDE. Spaces let agents share context and Git worktrees. You can also add tools and plugins your team already uses, and download the app for MacOS. There's a free plan, and paid plans start at $20 per month.

Watch out for
- ⚠️ Free plan has only a light quota and limited model availability
- Heavy use on paid plans may need extra usage bought at API pricing
- The pages offer a MacOS download button, but don't spell out other systems
