Zapier is a platform for automating work across your apps. The pages describe a Zap as an automated workflow that completes work across your apps without someone prompting it each time. Zapier says it connects to more than 9,000 apps, so you can move data between them without writing code.
You can start building in an AI tool such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, then connect it to your apps with Zapier MCP. A Zap has a trigger and one or more actions. Zapier also offers Agents, Chatbots, Tables and Forms. For larger teams, it lists admin controls and security compliance such as SOC 2 Type II. There's a free plan with 100 tasks per month, and paid plans are listed too.

Watch out for
- ⚠️ Plans are based on task counts, so busy workflows may need a higher tier or pay-per-task billing
- Some features, such as Next Gen Zaps, are labeled early access, and Copilot is labeled beta
- Team and Enterprise features like SSO and priority support aren't on the free or Professional plans
